Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1 cups green gram(cherupayar)(peeled ,green gram after heating it)


  • 4 nos shallots


  • 2 nos garlic cloves


  • 3 nos green chillies


  • 1 tsp cumins


  • 2 sprig curry leaves


  • 1 cups grated coconut


  • 2 tsp coconut oil


  • 1 cups water


  • 1 tsp salt ,to taste


  • 1/2 cups dal

Directions

  • Add green gram,dal,shallots,salt, 1 tsp oil and required water to a pressure cooker and cook.
  • Cook until 2 whistles.
  • Grind garlic,green chillies,cumins, 1 sprig curryleaves and coconut in a mixer grinder.
  • Pour this mix to the cooked daal mix and mix them well by stirring.
  • Heat the mix and add the left over curry leaves,coconut oiland take it from flame.
  • If you want you can season it with mustard seeds.
